  1. Accessible Navigation

    Fluid, responsive overlapping tabbed navigation achieved with pure CSS and standards-compliant markup. Utilizes background-image text replacement and CSS sprites to present stylized design over a simple, accessible unordered list.

  2. Original Layout & Design

    Produced 100% of the site’s graphic design and page layouts, conforming to Wordpress coding standards to maximize future extensibility. All content containers developed with sliding-doors CSS to maximize flexibility and reusability, and reduce image overhead.

  1. Flexible Modal Windows

    Customized Colorbox-based modal window system developed to smoothly handle AJAX windows as well as fluid photo gallery slideshows. Fails gracefully in the absence of JavaScript by allowing links to perform normally, taking users through to fully-designed pages that the window content is pulled from.

  2. Email Capture

    Double opt-in email capture system allows users to subscribe to bulk email list, pending a confirmation email. This ensures that the owner of the email adress approves of being added to the list. All email addresses are added to an easily managed and exportable database. Heavily modified and redeveloped WP-Email-Capture plugin to improve error feedback to the user and allow for AJAX functionality. Form presentation and user response messages are easily modified through the site backend without ever touching a line of code.

  1. Highly Structured Content

    A completely custom-built and tightly integrated content management system drives all of the primary site content. Based on Pods CMS for Wordpress, the back-end requires minimal effort and zero code to add or change content, while maximizing cross-linking of events, artists, music, and images. Page templates include intelligent error handling, ensuring that any fields left empty will not generate errors or visual inconsistencies for site users.

  2. Custom Back-End Panels

    Straightforward, customized back-end panels flow directly into the standard Wordpress administration interface, allowing highly specialized content structures to be managed in a familiar interface. Database and template structure is completely transparent to content contributors and editors.

  1. Automated Image Handling

    All photos on the site are automatically resized by server-side templates, and shadow effects are handled by pure CSS wrappers. This combination allows all imagery on the site to be seamlessly managed and updated with literally no image manipulation required by the user.

  2. Social Networking Modules

    Integrated, cleanly presented “Connect with…” modules appear on home page and artist pages. Entirely database driven and generated automatically for each page from minimal back-end data. Icons, labels, and meaningful link title content are all automatically customized to the page. Clear and consistent presentation encourages users to further connect with and follow individual artists.

  1. Integrated Image Galleries

    Fully automated and highly usable image galleries generated from custom-developed server-side templates. NextGEN Gallery Plugin customized and overridden to remove proprietary and bloated CSS & JavaScript, while maintaining compatibility with future upgrades. All content is delivered with minimal HTML markup and site-standard CSS classes to reduce overhead.

  2. Taggable Images

    Artist pages can be easily and dynamically linked to any gallery photo on the site, through a custom-developed interface between the Pods CMS and the Gallery system. Artist- or event-specific galleries are automatically generated in-page if matching tags exist.
